One of TWO VAULTS GALLERY’S staple artists, Chuck Gumpert, is departing from the figure for a while and bringing us a collection of fresh abstracts for his fourth feature with the gallery.

Chuck sees his abstract work as a sort of "negotiation" happening between artist and audience. A viewer may not arrive at the same feeling or vision that inspired its creation, but for Chuck the joy of abstract is its ability to illicit in each viewer a unique response.
